Grave worshippers are Muslims?? (according to Dr. Waleed Basyouni)

Unbelieveable misguidance from this “Dr. Waleed Basyouni” (VP of Almaghrib Institute) - may Allaah guide him…

He tweets to 15,000+ followers that grave worshippers are Muslims! (see attached image)

Note: He is not trying to explain an act of grave worship as an act of tawassul or explain away some acts of grave worship with some arguments of ta’weel.

He is explicitly saying – plain as day – that worshipping other than Allaah – a grave – DOES NOT TAKE SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF ISLAM.

May Alllaah protect the Muslims from such blatant misguidance.

Sept. 22, 2013 - New York City

In a grand display of flag waving, chanting, and music not from the Islamic Religion,  a few hundred Muslims and non-Muslims gathered in New York City today to march in the 28th annual "United American Muslim Day Parade", blocking traffic in the busy city for nearly an hour in a flagrant violation of many basic Islamic teachings.

The Reality of Ibraheem Ar-Ruhaylee
Why did the Scholars refute Doctor Ibrahim Ar Ruhaylee?

Video Courtesy: adamibnzuber

Doctor Ibrahim Ar Ruhaylee—may Allah guide us and guide him—stated the following principle:

Knowledge is taken from every person who possesses knowledge. Even if a person has knowledge, but he does not declare Jahm bin Safwan to be an innovator, then leave off the fact that he does not declare Jahm bin Safwan to be an innovator and still take knowledge from him.

Who is Jahm bin Safwan?

Jahm bin Safwan is from those who said the Quran was created, and he promoted this belief. Shaykh of Islam ibn Taymiyyah stated in his book of Fatawa in Aqeedah that Jahm bin Safwan was executed for hypocrisy and apostasy.

Shaykh ‘Ubayd Al-Jaabiree said:

By way of this you are able to know that he who says that he does not consider Jahm ibn Safwaan to be an innovator is in one of two states:

1.)    The First: Is that he is one who has read but does not have Fiqh; he does not know and is not from the people who has knowledge of principles, foundations, and fundamentals. This is an ignorant person and he is not from the people of knowledge who should be taken from. IGNORANT. It is obligatory upon those around him to teach him about Jahm ibn Safwaan and his Shaykh Ja’d; and that they were both executed as disbelievers; apostates from the religion of Allaah. If that becomes clear to him and he begins to declare them to be innovators and he speaks with the statements of the Imaams of the Muslims then this is that which is desired. However, it remains that knowledge is not to be taken from him due to his ignorance.

2.)    The Second: He who holds that Jahm and his Shaykh Ja’d are both people of the Sunnah and he has received from the scholars of Al-Islaam a sufficient clear and evident clarification of the state of these two, and that they were executed as disbelievers, then Kufr is feared for this person. He has opposed the Ijmaa’ of the Muslims and he believes that these two deviant, astray, disbelievers who were executed for apostasy were people of the Sunnah. I say that he has disbelieved and there is no honor for him.

From this, it is apparent that he who does not consider Jahm ibn Safwaan and Ja’d ibn Dirham to be innovators is not fit for knowledge of the religion to be taken from him. He is not to be trusted with the religion of Allaah. So what should be taken from him of knowledge? One could take from him that which is not legislative (knowledge) and has no connection to the legislation. One could take from him the likes of (knowledge of) sports, engineering, and medicine if there is a need for that which he has from these sciences. And one is to beware of his plots, because some of them scheme and take advantage of the heedlessness of the students and those who study and they spring upon them aspects of disbelief, innovation, and misguidance. So it is obligatory to beware of him as well.

Jahm bin Safwan is from those who said the Quran was created, and he promoted this belief. Shaykh of Islam ibn Taymiyyah stated in his book of Fatawa in Aqeedah that Jahm bin Safwan was executed for hypocrisy and apostasy.

Shaykh Ahmad Bazmool said:

He says—this is his doubts—the speech of Ar-Ruhaylee; Ibraheem Ar-Ruhaylee the author of the “Advice”; what does Ar-Ruhaylee say? Ar-Ruhaylee, Ibraheem Ar-Ruhaylee, the Doctor, he who wrote: The Position of Ahlus-Sunnah regarding the People of Desires and Innovation; Ar-Ruhaylee, around whom the youth flock; Ar-Ruhaylee, say about him whatever you want! Ar-Ruhaylee says within the text: “If a person does not consider Jahm ibn Safwaan to be an innovator, then never mind his not declaring him to be an innovator; take the truth from him, may Allaah reward you with good.” So he didn’t say that one can benefit from Jahm? Tayyib, this is the same thing. What did he say? He said: “…then never mind his not declaring him to be an innovator; take the truth from him.” Tayyib; how is this the case with Jahm ibn Safwaan when the Ummah is united upon the fact that he is an innovator? The Salaf were united upon him being an innovator. How can the truth be taken from him? The truth can be taken from Jahm ibn Safwaan? Okay, come O,  Ibraheem Ar-Ruhaylee; we give you that (hypothetically); but don’t you warn against some of the Salafee scholars in Al-Madeenah; and you chase the youth away from them!? Then with Jahm ibn Safwaan you say: Take the truth from him?! Will you not have Taqwaa of Allaah?! Will you not have Taqwaa of Allaah regarding the likes of this? Will the Salafee youth not pay attention to the likes of these ideas? With Jahm ibn Safwaan, the truth is taken from him and never mind declaring him to be an innovator, whereas with some of the well-known Salafee scholars he warns against them? O brothers, where are our intellects? Where is our Salafiyyah? Due to this, the scholars are wary of Ibraheem Ar-Ruhaylee out of precaution for his condition; and it is not about personalities. If Ahmad Bazmool, night and day, were to sit with the people of innovation, then warn against Ahmad Bazmool. For the truth is not connected to Bazmool or other than him. The truth is connected to the Book, the Sunnah, and the Minhaj of the Salaf. Clear? Pay attention to this.

The Principle of Ibrahim Ar Ruhaylee Refuted by Shaykh Saalih Fawzan

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

Why did the Scholars refute Doctor Ibrahim Ar Ruhaylee?

Shaykh Fawzan refutes this principle:

Question: May Allah grant you good our Shaykh. There is a person who has established a principle that knowledge is taken from everyone who has knowledge; rather, if a person possesses knowledge, but he does not declare Jahm ibn Safwan to be an innovator, he said: Leave off the fact that he does not declare Jahm bin Safwan to be an innovator and still take knowledge from him. Is this statement correct?

Shaykh Fawzan:

This is not correct. Knowledge is only taken from the people of knowledge, those who are upright upon it and known for it. As for the one who spreads innovation and takes it lightly, then knowledge is not taken from him; because he will have a negative effect upon those who sit with him and take knowledge from him, thus taking the affair of innovation lightly. And if the affair has reached the extent that Jahm ibn Safwan is not declared to be an innovator then who will be declared to be an innovator?! Jahm ibn Safwan has been declared to be a disbeliever because he said the Quran is created, and he said Allah does not speak. He obstinately rejected and denied an Attribute from the Attributes of Allah. Thus he described Allah with deficiency. And with Allah refuge is sought. Allah the Exalted criticized the pagans for worshipping idols which do not speak.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّهُ لََ يُكَلِّمُهُمْ
Did they not see that it could neither speak to them? (Soorah Al ‘Araaf 7:148)

Allah the Exalted said about those who worshipped the calf:

أَلَ مْ يَرَ وا أَنَّ هْ لَْ يكَلِّ م ه مْ
Did they not see that it could neither speak to them? (Soorah Al ‘Araaf 7:148)

Ibrahim peace be upon him said to his father:

يَا أَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لََ يَسْمَعُ وَلََ يُبْصِرُ وَلََ يُغْنِي عَنْكَ شَيْئًا
“O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all? (Soorah Maryum 19:42)

Therefore this person who says Jahm in only an innovator or he is not an innovator, this person in reality is spreading innovation, and he takes the affair of innovation lightly.

Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee:

As for today, they desire for our children to seek knowledge from the innovators, from the people of desires. Such that we heard an evil voice; he said: “Take knowledge”.

And this was said when Abu Hassan was mentioned to him, and those who do not speak against him and those who speak against him, and the rift which has occurred because of him.

He said: Take knowledge from the one who does not speak about this matter. Rather if there is a person who does not declare Jahm ibn Safwan to be an innovator, then take knowledge from him. If you are in need of taking from him then take from him. If you find that he has knowledge, then take it from him, if you are in need of taking from him then take from him.
MashaAllah. The person who does not declare Jahm ibn Safwan to be an innovator, what are you going to find with him?
Look! The affair began by defending Abu Hassan, but who did it end with? It ended with Jahm ibn Safwan.

And this is recorded with their voices. What good are you going to find with the person who does not declare Jahm ibn Safwan to be an innovator?! I ask you by Allah.

The importance of aqeedah for the Muslim – Sheikh al-Fawzan

Question:

There is (one) here who is lax concerning the importance of aqeedah (creed) and he is of the opinion that eemaan (faith) is sufficient (for him). Do you have any clarification concerning the importance of aqeedah for the Muslim and how it reflects on his life, on his relationship with the (Muslim) society (as a whole) and with the non-Muslims?

Answer:

In the name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of the all that exists. And may the peace and blessings be upon our Messenger Muhammad and upon his family and his companions. To proceed:

The correctness of aqeedah is the (most) fundamental principle. This is because bearing witness that Laa Ilaaha Illa Allaah Wa Anna Muhammaddan Rasool Allaah (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His Messenger), is the first pillar of Islaam. And the Messengers called firstly, to the correction of the aqeedah because all acts of worship and behavior depends on it and without the correct aqeedah, there is no benefit from (these) deeds. The Most High said: “But if they had joined in worship others with Allaah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them.” – Al-An’am (6):88

And their deeds became invalid.

And Allaah (سبحانه وتعالى) said: “Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Dhaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers.” - Al-Maa’idah (5):72

And the Most High said: “And indeed it has been revealed to you (O Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)), as it was to those (Allaah’s Messengers) before you: ‘If you join others in worship with Allaah, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.’” – Az-Zumar (39):65

From these texts and other than them, it is clear that the correction of the aqeedah is from the important (affairs) and at the forefront of the da’wah. And the first (affair) to establish for the da’wah is the correction of aqeedah. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) remained in Makkah for thirteen years after his mission began, calling the people to the correction of the aqeedah and to at-Tawheed. And the faraa’id (obligatory acts of worship) were not revealed to him except in Madeenah.

Yes, and the salaat was made obligatory upon him in Makkah before the hijrah and the rest of the shar’iah was imposed on him after the hijrah. From this we have evidence that deeds are not accepted except after the correction of the aqeedah.

And this is for the one who says: That the eemaan is sufficient without having interest for the aqeedah.

This is contradictory because eemaan is not eemaan except if the aqeedah is correct. And if the aqeedah is not correct, then there is no eemaan, and (there is) no deen (religion).

Ruling of Shari’ah on Ghulam Ahmad Pervez – Fatwa by Imaam Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah)

[Ghulam Ahmad Pervez was the right hand man of Muhammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, and was one of the leading activists of the Pakistan movement. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, he worked in the Central Government and was also a counselor to Muhammed Ali Jinnah. - wikipedia]

The following is taken from alifta.net - Ruling of Shari`ah on Ghulam Ahmad Pervez - Fatwa by Imaam Ibn Baaz (Rahimahullah)

All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions.

I have reviewed the article published in Al-Hajj Magazine, in its second issue dated 16 Sha`ban, 1382 A.H., on the Fatwa request submitted to it by our fellow scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Yusuf Al-Banury, principal of the Arab Islamic School in Karachi, about the ruling of Shari`ah (Islamic law) regarding Ghulam Ahmad Pervez who has recently come into view in the lands of India, and regarding his beliefs, examples of which were presented by the reverend questioner. He also enquired about the religious ruling on those who follow, embrace, and call to such beliefs, and so on.

A: The examples of the beliefs of Ghulam Ahmad Pervez as quoted by the questioner in his Fatwa request published in the said magazine, amount to twenty. All people endowed with knowledge and insight, who examine such examples, will realize beyond doubt that he who embraces and calls to such beliefs has fallen into major Kufr (disbelief) and apostatized from Islam. Therefore, he should be invited to repent. He must unequivocally repent of his former beliefs and belie them, and publish such repentance in local newspapers – just as he had published his false beliefs therein. Otherwise, it becomes obligatory for the ruler of the Muslims to execute him; a ruling which is Ma`lum minad-din biddarurah (well-established and known Islamic principles). The proofs corroborating such a ruling in the Qur’an,the Sunnah (whatever is reported from the Prophet), and the Ijma` (consensus of scholars) are too many to be surveyed in the present answer. All the examples presented by the questioner of the beliefs of Ghulam Ahmad Pervez necessitate declaring him a Kafir (disbeliever) and Murtad (apostate), according to the scholars of Shari`ah.

Here we quote some of the referred to examples so that the readers would realize how much heinous, offensive, and far from Islam are such beliefs, and would recognize that those who embrace them do not believe in Allah, the Day of Resurrection, the Messenger (peace be upon him), or what Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) and His Messenger informed of regarding the Hereafter, Paradise, and the Fire. Besides, the reader would perceive that those who embrace such beliefs are far distanced from what the messengers were sent with, and that they harbor bitter enmity, grudge, and intrigue against Islam and Muslims. Moreover, they are crafty plotters, skilled in confusing people, and are bereft of decency and good manners.

We ask Allah (Exalted be He) for well-being and safety – for us and for all Muslims – from the evil inflicted on that evil atheist.

The first example of the beliefs of the atheist Ghulam Ahmad Pervez according to what is mentioned in the Fatwa request published in the referred to magazine, reads: “All that is stated in the Glorious Qur’an of Sadaqah (voluntary charity), inheritance, and other financial rulings are temporary, and are intended to gradually rise up to an independent role, namely [he calls it] the system of Rububiyyah (Lordship). Thus, when the time comes, these rulings will come to an end, since they are temporary and subordinate.”

The second example: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions deduced from the Qur’an rulings that turned out to be Shari`ah. Likewise, all those who follow him are consultative members of a central government entitled to infer from the Qur’an rulings that, in turn, become the Shari`ah of their age, while they are not required to apply the preceding Shari`ah. Moreover, such a process is not limited to only one aspect of the Shari`ah, but it rather applies to the acts of worship, transactions, and morals. That is why the Qur’an did not specify the details of worship.”

The third example: “Allah (Exalted be He) says: Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. The meaning of obedience to Allah and His Messenger is obedience to the center of the Ummah (nation based on one creed), that is, the central government, while ‘those who are in authority’ refers to the assemblies held under its rule. Thus, the government alone assumes legislation. Besides, obedience to Allah does not mean obedience to His Book, the Qur’an, neither does obedience to the Messenger mean conformity with his Hadiths. For every central government instituted after the age of revelation enjoy the position of the Messenger, and, thus, obedience to Allah and His Messenger surely mean obedience to such a government. Even more, the Messenger was obeyed because of being the commander and leader of the central government, while what was obeyed was the central government itself.”

The fourth example: “The Glorious Qur’an states that the Prophet (peace be upon him) does not deserve to be obeyed, and that he does not have the right to impose obedience to him on Muslims. Besides, obedience to Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) means nothing but obedience to the center of the religious system, which implements the rulings of the Qur’an only.”

The sixth example: “Paradise and Fire do not refer to certain places, but they rather refer to the conditions of man.”

The nineteenth example: “Belief in Predestination, both the good and the evil thereof, is a Magian subterfuge made as a creed for Muslims.”

These, dear readers, are samples contained in the Fatwa request published in the magazine (presented in the same way they are arranged in the Fatwa request), so that you may conceive the correctness of what I mentioned above. When the readers review the other examples published in the magazine, they would find evidence of the heinous ideas and Kufr of Ghulam Ahmad. This leads us to many of Allah’s clear signs and conclusive proofs confirming His Wisdom in His Creation and His Absolute Ability to turn hearts and to seal their doom through deviation so that they could reach almost inconceivable limits.Praise be to Allah! How Sublime is He and how Perfect is His Power! Allah says: Thus does Allâh seal up the hearts of those who know not [the proofs and evidence of the Oneness of Allâh i.e. those who try not to understand true facts that which you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) have brought to them]. These quoted examples, and also those unquoted, are proven Batil (false) through many Ayahs (Qur’anic verses) and authentic Hadiths and through the Ijma`. The Ayahs include the Words of Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He): Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ‘îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya‘qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya‘qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and ‘Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm).” So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allâh will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. This atheist has never believed in what Allah sent down to Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to the preceding messengers. Rather, he wholeheartedly denied it, as indicated through his denial of obedience to Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) and of His Shari`ah, and his disbelief in Paradise and Fire, and his rejection of Predestination. Indeed, this asserts that he is not only aberrant but also among the people of dissension, disbelief, and atheism. Allah (Exalted be He) says: Truly, the religion with Allâh is Islâm. Yet, this atheist denies this religion and believes that obedience to the Messenger (peace be upon him) was confined to his lifetime, and that he was obeyed, not because of being the Messenger of Allah, but because he was the leader of the central government. Likewise, he denies obedience to Allah and refuses to conform to it, since – for him – obedience is due only to the central government, no matter what form it takes. Such is an explicit denial of Allah and the Qur’an and plain negation of Islam and of the fact that it is the religion that must be embraced. Moreover, he believes that the authoritative religion is that which is enacted by the central government, even if it contradicts the Qur’an and the Sunnah. In this regard, Allah (Exalted be He) says: And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.

In addition, this atheist – as shown above – does not accept this Ayah, and in turn he belies Allah and opposes Him. Hence, he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter, knowing that the loser in the Hereafter or the absolute loser is the Kafir, who deserves everlasting torture in the Fire. We seek refuge with Allah against such an end. Allah (Exalted be He) says: O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allâh and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), if you believe in Allâh and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination. He (Exalted be He) also says: The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allâh. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism); that is the (true) straight religion And: And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof is with Allâh (He is the ruling Judge). This deviating atheist, however, rejects all these Ayahs and denies both obedience to Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) and referral to them for judgment (as already indicated above). Furthermore, he believes that all such matters are due for the central government. This is enough to declare him a Kafir and proves the corruption of his beliefs and his opposition to Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and the Muslims. There is no need to present an argument in confirmation of the Kufr, aberrancy, and deviation of the one holding such beliefs, for it is as clear as daylight. Besides, there are numerous Ayahs to this effect.

As for the Hadith, it is authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith and others that he said: Every prophet would be sent to his nation only, but I have been sent to all mankind. It is also authentically reported he (peace be upon him) said: My entire Ummah will enter Paradise except the one who refuses. It was said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, who will refuse?’ He (peace be upon him) said, ‘Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses.’ (Related by Al-Bukhari)

Again, Allah (Glorified be He) says in the Glorious Qur’an: Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): “O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allâh.” And: He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), has indeed obeyed Allâh.

However, this atheist does not believe that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent by Allah, that he must be obeyed, or that he is a Messenger to all mankind. Rather, he believes that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was only to be obeyed during his lifetime and only on the grounds of his being the head of the central government, not because of his being the Messenger of Allah. So, praise be to Allah, how heinous is such a claim and how far distanced from guidance is it! According to well-established religious matters that are recorded in authentic references, the Muslims unanimously agree that whoever belies Allah or His Messenger (peace be upon him), even if about a small matter, or deems apostasy from Islam permissible, or says that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent to the Arabs only or to the people living during his lifetime, becomes a Kafir and Murtad, whose execution is declared lawful and whose money is to be seized. Praise be to Allah, this point is uncontroversial among religious scholars, and, thus, there is no need for more elaboration on this matter by quoting their unanimity from reliable sources. I hope that what is already mentioned is satisfactory for the questioner and for the readers in general. Undoubtedly, the Kufr of Ghulam Ahmad Pervez according to what is quoted of his beliefs and opinions, is taken for granted by common Muslims, not to mention scholars. Thus, there is no more need to state in great detail the proofs of such a claim. We ask Allah to safeguard the Muslims from the evil of Ghulam Ahmad and those like him, to bridle the enemies of Islam wherever they may be, to foil their intrigues, and to let them perish in their rage without fulfilling their intentions. Indeed, He is Able to do all things.

Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us). There is neither might nor power except with Him. May peace and blessings be upon His Servant and Messenger, our Master and Imam, Muhammad ibn `Abdullah, who was sent to all mankind with the perfect Shari`ah until the Day of Resurrection, and upon his family and Companions, and upon those who uprightly follow them until the Day of Resurrection. All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Who are the Ibadis? (Ibadism / Ibadiyyah sect /Oman)

Question:

Is the Ibaadi sect regarded as one of the misguided sects of the Khaarijis, and is it permissible to pray behind them?

The Committee answered as follows:

The Ibaadis are one of the misguided sects because of their aggression and rebellion against ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan and ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with them both), and it is not permissible to pray behind them.

And Allaah is the Source of strength.

Standing Committee for Academic Research and Issuing Fatwas.
Fatwa of the Standing Committee, no. 6935

Their first founder was ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Ibaad from the tribe of Banu Murrah ibn ‘Ubayd ibn Tameem. He was named after Ibaad which is a village in al-Yamaamah known nowadays as al-‘Aarid. ‘Abd-Allaah was a contemporary of Mu’aawiyah and died at the end of the reign of ‘Abd al-Maalik ibn Marwaan.

Their most important beliefs:

· From their books it seems that they deny the divine attributes, and they agree to a large extent with the Mu’tazilah in the misinterpretation of divine attributes. But they claim that their views are based on sound evidence, when they interpret the divine attributes in a metaphorical sense, which explains the meaning without likening Allaah to His creation. But the truth of this matter is the view of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah, who follow the evidence and affirm the names and attributes of Allaah as He Himself has affirmed them, without denying them, discussing how, they are, misinterpreting them or likening Allaah to His creation.

· They deny that the believers will see Allaah in the Hereafter.

· They misinterpret some matters having to do with the Hereafter and deny that they are real, such as the Balance (Meezaan) and the Siraat.

· The attributes of Allaah are not additional to His Essence, they are His Essence.

· The Qur’aan in their view is created, and they agreed with the Khaarijis in that. Al-Ash’ari said in Maqaalaat al-Islamiyyeen, “All the Khaarijis say that the Qur’aan was created.” Maqaalaat al-Islamiyyeen, 1/203.

· In their view the one who commits a major sin is a kaafir in the sense of being ungrateful to Allaah or being a hypocrite.

· In their view people fall into three categories:

  1. - Believers who are sincere in their faith
  2. - Mushriks whose shirk is obvious
  3. - People who have affirmed belief in Tawheed and Islam, but who do not adhere to its practices and acts of worship, so they are not mushriks because they have affirmed belief in Tawheed, but they are not believers either because they do not adhere to the requirements of faith. So they are included with the Muslims in rulings having to do with this world, because of their affirmation of Tawheed, and they are included with the mushriks in rulings having to do with the Hereafter because they were not sincere in their faith and they went against the requirements of Tawheed.

· They believe that those of the people of the qiblah who differ from them are kaafirs but not mushriks; it is permissible to marry them and inherit from them. Their weapons, horses and anything that may be used for war is permissible as war booty and everything else is haraam.

· The one who commits a major sin is a kaafir and when he is committing sin and persisting in it, he cannot be admitted to Paradise if he has not repented, for Allaah does not forgive major sins unless those who commit them repent before death.

· They call the one who commits a major sin a kaafir, claiming that this is kufr in the sense of ingratitude to Allaah or in the sense of hypocrisy, not in the sense that he is a kaafir who is beyond the pale of Islam. Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah on the other hand call such a person disobedient or a sinner. Whoever dies in such a state – according to Ahl al-Sunnah – is subject to the will of Allaah: if He wills, He will forgive him by His grace, and if He wills, He will punish him by His justice until he is cleansed of his sin, then he will be moved to Paradise. But the Ibaadis say that the sinner will abide in Hell forever, so in this regard they agree with the rest of the Khaarijis and Mu’talizah who say that the sinners will abide in Hell forever.

· They deny that there will be any intercession for the sinners who are believers in Tawheed, because sinners – in their view – will abide in Hell forever, so there can be no intercession for them to be brought forth from Hell.

· Some of them criticized the caliph ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan, Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan and ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with them).

Ibāḍī Muslims make up a majority of the population in Oman. They are also found in the Nafūsah Mountains in Libya, M’zab in Algeria, East Africa (particularly Zanzibar) and Djerba Island in Tunisia. The early medieval Rustamid dynasty in Algeria was Ibāḍī, and refugees from its capital Tiaret founded the North African Ibāḍīs communities which exist today in the M’zāb Valley.

The False principles of Abul Hassan Al Ma’rabi and Ali Hassan Al Halabi – Clearly Explained by Shaykh Khalid Abdur Rahman

Shaykh Muhammad Al Anjaree: The second question; we would like a statement concerning these two individuals Abul Hassan Al Ma’rabi and Ali Al Halabi and the extent of their harm upon the Sunnah Salafi Dawah.

Shaykh Khalid Abdur Rahman: Firstly; as it relates to these two men, the first one is Mustapha ibn Ismael, residing in Ma’rib, originally from Egypt. The second one is Ali ibn Hassan Al Halabi, Ali Hassan Abdul Hameed Al Halabi; he resides in Amman Jordan and he is originally from the land of Sham. In the beginning these two men purposely attached themselves to Ahlus Sunnah and displayed the traits of following the Sunnah and its people and attached themselves to the Salafi Minhaj; and based upon this, these two men received Tazkiyah from some of the Imaams from Ahlus Sunnah. This is because the person who displays that he is in agreement with the Sunnah and he does not bring anything which opposes it, the people have a good thought about him. And whoever displays other than that; then he is upon other than that.

Then there began to appear in the Dawah of these two men, corrupt principles. And they continued to establish some of those principles such that if you read from the works of these two men or heard them, it was though you were reading or listening to the same man.  Rather from that which is amazing, is they not only agreed in establishing these principles rather they even concurred in some of the statements they used to establish many of their corrupt principles; thus the wording of their statements even coincided. And this is known, as it is said, ‘birds of a feather flock together’.

As for some of the principles which they share in their speech, firstly and from the most conspicuous of them is their belittling the people of knowledge and attacking the scholars; especially the scholars of Jarh wa Ta’deel. For this reason you will not find anyone during our time waging war against the flag bearer of Jarh wa Ta’deel, Imaam Rabee—the one whom Imaam Al Albani said about him ‘he is the flag bearer of Jarh wa Ta’deel’ and rightfully so—thus you will not find anyone waging war against this man the likes of these two men in their crime against the Imaams of Jarh wa Ta’deel and their attacking the leadership of this man.

And From that which is amazing—and this is from the great virtue of Allah upon Ahlus-Sunnah—is that Allah caused the Tazkiyah of Imaam Rabee to be carried out upon the tongue of Imaam Al-Albani; the one whom Abul-Hasan travelled to, and he (Abul-Hasan Al-Ma’ribi) is the one who asked Al-Albani concerning Shaykh Rabee, such that Shaykh Al Albani answered on the tape recorded with Abul-Hasan; when Abul-Hasan said to him: “We want from you O noble Shaykh, for you to speak some words concerning these two virtuous scholars, in order to aid the Sunnah and refute those who speak ill of them.”

Thus Allah caused the Tazkiyah of Rabee to be carried out upon the tongue of Al-Albani, by way of whom? By way of Abul-Hasan the leader of the Fitnah.

And I recall when I connected with Abul Hassan—before the Fitnah—in Abu Dhabi in the region of As Shahamah, and in some of the areas there with one of the youth named Imran who is responsible for Dar Al Bir. I recall it was twelve o’clock at night and Abul Hassan was wearing an olive green thoub and a green turban placed on his right side, and it was twelve o’clock and we were in the home of Imran. So Abul Hassan says to me, ‘O Aba Muhammad do you know by what means Allah has elevated the status of Shaykh Rabee?’ So I smiled and replied, ‘with what’. He said, ‘due to his defense of the Salafi Minhaj’. Then this pitiful man goes back and says, ‘I have known the misguidance of Rabee for many years.’ And this was only a number of months after he had said this statement (praising Shaykh Rabee) to me.

Thus it is from the principles of these two men to attack the Imaams of Jarh wa Ta’deel. I am not saying attacking Shaykh Rabee. The number of those attacked by Abul Hassan and those attacked by Ali Al Halabi are close to ten of our Imaams. Abul Hassan for example attacked Shaykh Rabee, he attacked Shaykh An Najmee, he attacked this one and that one, numbering close to ten. Thus this is something they share in common.

And I recall one year, when I was in Masjid Al Haraam after Isha and tawareeh prayer, and I met Ali Al Halabi and we prayed Tawareeh prayer together, then after that he took me to the hotel and then to Jeddah—and this was during the days of Shaykh Muhammad Al Banna may Allah have mercy upon him–.

And it was from his expression that he would say to me; he said ‘O Aba Muhammad, the Mashaykh in Najd or in the Haramain (Mecca and Medina) some of the Mashaykh only speak against us due to jealousy’. He said: ‘And from the most severe of them is Shaykh Fawzan’. This statement is not paraphrasing rather it is the actual words. He said: ‘And from the most severe of them is Shaykh Fawzan’. Of course this speech is repugnant, thus there is no need for us to speak about it now. Thus in reality this is a principle which they share and it is attacking the Imaams.

What follows this is their interpretation of the statement, ‘it is not binding upon me’. Meaning they use this statement when one of the Imaams criticizes a person, saying so and so is an innovator and the proof that he is an innovator is he said this and he said that and he said in this book such and such, and he said in that book such and such; both of them—Abul Hassan and Ali—say, ‘it is not binding upon me to accept his criticism, even if it is detailed’. How is this, even if it is detailed?

Imaam Shafi’i—may Allah have mercy upon him—when he mentioned the rejection of information from a trustworthy narrator he mentioned that the innovators who reject the hadith, from their arguments is they say it is not binding upon us to accept his report. Thus by way of this they reject the Sunnah.

In this affair these two resemble some of the statements of the innovators; ‘it is not binding upon me to accept the report of a trustworthy narration’. If a man institutes an innovation do the scholars in the East and the West know that he did such and such and did they observe that? Is this plausible? Is it reasonable to the mind that if an innovator speaks with innovation and deviates from the Sunnah with corrupt principles; are all the scholars of the Sunnah, the Arab and non-Arab, those in the East and those in the West able to hear this statement and to watch it comes from the mouth of the person? This is a form of imagination. Thus if we said we will not accept the detailed criticism except if we hear it for ourselves and if we do not hear it we will not accept it even if we hear it from someone else who is reliable, then you will never find an innovator on the earth at all. Why; because it is not possible for all the scholars to be aware of the statements said by this innovator. So, likewise this is from their corrupt principles.

Resulting from this is the third principle they agree upon and it is; kindness and gentleness with the innovators while attacking and showing harshness to Ahlus Sunnah. If you enter this website—but do not enter it, do not visit this website, rather beware of it—but I say, rather have been sufficed from pain by other than you. On this website Kulusalafiyeen, you will find regarding the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah; regarding some of them; the vilest phrases! Such that he says regarding Shaykh Rabee that he has become old, and he has diabetes and due to his illness, he does not have precision in the affairs.

And look at what Abul Hassan said when refuting Shaykh Ahmad An Najmee—the one whom Shaykh bin Baz said about him, ‘Shaykh Ahmad An Najmee is the Mufti of the south and from the major scholars’. He (Abdul Hassan) said, O Shaykh, O old man, if you could see how old you have become…etc., etc.

This is how they speak about the Imaams of guidance and the Imaams of Ahlus-Sunnah. But when they speak about the organizations and when the speak about the innovators you find them easy going and soft in their interactions with the people of innovation and in criticizing the people of innovation, having gentleness with them; meaning gentle in their criticizing the people of innovation in some of the affairs they disagree upon. And then they say, ‘all praises belong to Allah the circle of the Sunnah is very wide’. As Abul Hassan says, it includes the Salafi, and it includes the Ikhwani, and it includes the Tableeghi. So this is the third principle from the principles which you find them agreeing upon intentionally or unintentionally due to deviance, thus their statements agree in this.

Then after this you find, (they say) it is not binding upon us to return the affairs to the major scholars, rather we will use deductive reasoning and look into the proofs. They do this in action although they may free themselves from this in statement. For this reason Abul Hassan says, those who oppose us are groups and parties and he is speaking about the scholars who are mountains of knowledge. And you find Ali Hassan saying, they want to shatter our pens. Meaning they do not want for us to write, or to speak about issues, they want to shatter our pens.

Thus they interact with the scholars with arrogance and they interact with them by belittling the scholars.

Likewise, I conclude with an important principle from the principles of these two men. And this principle in reality, it by itself, if these two men did not have any principles except this corrupt principle then it would be enough to clarify their harm upon the Salafi Dawah and its people. They agree that applying the narrations of the Salaf upon the innovators of our time is an example of extremism. Thus if you come across a narration criticizing the Qadariyah, the Jabariyah, the Jahmiyah, the Mu’tazilah, the Khawarij, the Khawarij Al Qadiyah, and the deviant innovators; then what do they say? Do not apply these narrations upon these deviant organizations; rather to apply these narrations upon these organizations is extremism in the religion and deviance. What does this lead to? It leads to applying the Salafee Manhaj in a way that whenever there comes a narration from the Salaf, they say: No, the Salaf did not intend except the likes of the Jahmiyah and the Khawaarij (of old). From this point, the door of these people to accept the people of innovations, in action, became a door which is as wide open as the vastness of the heavens and the earth.

For this reason you find them being easy with them, and including them, and they do not boycott the innovators, rather they warn against the affair of boycotting from another angle. They say how can we boycott now; when this is not the era for boycotting? And then they use a statement from Shaykh Al Albani outside its proper context and they interpret it outside the proper context. Thus they weaken the Salafi Minhaj in the hearts of their followers.

And for this reason if there were not except that which we see from many of the ignorant youth turning to these two despicable and corrupt deviants it would be sufficient to clarify their harm upon the Salafi Dawah and its people; so what do you think about their other principles which we did not mention just in order to summarize and preserve the time. I ask Allaah for safety for us and for you.

The following is a summary translation

Shaykh Sulayman Ar Ruhaylee:

I know Jam’iyyah Ihyaa’ at-Turaath and I know all of its subsidiary branches. At any rate, I say in summary; after their views have been made clear there does not remain any excuse for anyone to remain with Ihyaa’ at-Turaath, this is the synopsis. There remains no excuse. The condition of Ihyaa’ at-Turaath has been completely clarified and it has been clarified they will not accept (advice in this manner) and it is possible to advise them from the outside. I am not saying do not advise Ihyaa’ at-Turaath, but I am saying advise them from the outside, because the harm of remaining with them is greater than the benefit.

Aaidh al-Qarni’s famous book “don’t be sad” (la Tahzan) is Banned in Saudi Arabia

Sheikh Aaidh is famous for his book “don’t be sad” (la Tahzan) which sold more than 10 million copies. But the prominent Sheikh, who has more than 2.5 million followers on Twitter, recently faced a credibility crisis after a fellow Saudi female writer and author accused him of plagiarizing her work in another book he authored.

Salwa al-Aededan accused Sheikh Aaidh of having offered her 10,000 Saudi Riyals ($2,600) so that she could drop the plagiarism case against him.

Aededan claimed Sheikh Aaidh stole some parts of her book Hakada Hazamo al-Ya’as (This is How They Defeated Desperation). She later won the legal case against him and was awarded 300,000 riyal ($80,000) in damages. The court fined Aaidh 30,000 Saudi riyals ($8,000) to be paid to the government.

Sheikh Aaidh’s book was also withdrawn from book stores and banned from entering Saudi Arabia.

Samir Faraj, an Egyptian poet, also claimed that Sheikh Aaidh stole some of his poems.
